FOOOOORRRRRREEEEEEEEE! Now that we have your attention, we wanted to highlight one of the resident groups that makes The Bluffs on the Cape Fear such a HOLE-IN-ONE! The Bluffs Golf Group is for any resident interested in getting out once a week for a round of golf. The group plays at various courses throughout the area. You don’t have to be a scratch golfer to play. All that’s required is a love for the game and enough time on Wednesdays to dedicate for a round of golf. For more information on joining the group, contact: Bill Clodfelter | billclodfelter@me.com | 336.280.8015 | You must be a resident of the Bluffs on the Cape Fear to participate.

Golf is not just a sport for retirees; it’s suitable for all ages and skill levels. Not only is it a great way to help boost your mood and well-being, it also keeps your brain fit, your body limber and gets participants outdoors. Maybe you are new to the game or perhaps you just need to dust off your clubs and give them another swing; no matter your skill level, there are numerous options in our area to get out and play. With our mild coastal climate southeastern North Carolina offers year round possibilities to improve your game.

We are fortunate to have several public courses in the Leland/Wilmington area. Some of our local favorites include the Wilmington Municipal Golf Course, Beau Rivage Golf & Resort, Cape Fear National Golf Course, Compass Pointe Golf Club and Magnolia Greens Golf Course. These are some of the most beautiful and diverse courses we have in our area. Within a couple of hours drive to Myrtle Beach there are roughly a hundred more courses for the golf enthusiasts to enjoy.

Weather not cooperating? Play a full round of golf, rain or shine at Rounds Golf & Lounge in Mayfaire Town Center.  This digital golf experience offers area golfers the chance to play championship courses all while enjoying craft beverages and hand-picked menus. What’s not to love?
